Federico Sceriffo takes on Formula Drift

With Formula Drift coming to Long Beach California in a matter of weeks now, we caught up with the Italian Stallion Federico Sceriffo who is looking to make a name for himself stateside.

What prompted the move to FD?

New challenges and it has always been something on my bucket list for a long time.

How is the build going for the 2018 FD season?

It has been a lot of drama as every build, this time is actually the first time for me to build a complete drifting competition car, and I choose a Ferrari 599 to start this experience, so you can just imagine. But we are very satisfied and ready to give you all a great show.

Have you managed to get much seat time in over the offseason?

Yes, I have, I am lucky because I am also a drift instructor for a long time now so when I get my advanced class students to practice I have the chance to do it also.

Will you be trying any new tactics this season?

Yes, consistency and… I won’t tell you otherwise it’s not a tactic anymore.

Which track are you most looking forward to drifting?

All of them really excited about round one long beach and I am so happy that Irwindale is back.

How has it been putting together a program for FD?

Chaotic especially because it is our first year in the USA so it is all new for us.

Who are your current sponsors and do you have any new ones for this season?

Our main sponsors are Rui Feng (Chinese iron and steel company) Sparco/Vibram/Ohlins/oz racing wheels/E2logistics and more to come in the next weeks.

Best of luck Federico from us at Lonely Driver Club.
